Showroom Consultant – Columbus & Panama City

The Showroom Consultant position is a key role which serves our diverse client base of custom home builders, architects, interior designers and homeowners by assisting in plumbing selection and procurement. Our beautiful showroom provides mid to high-end plumbing fixtures to a variety of clientele. Engineering & Equipment Co. is an independently owned company of 85 years. We are a full-service wholesale distributor offering full kitchen and bath supplies and hardware.

Task and Duties

  • Assist customers on the showroom floor.
  • Consult with designers, architects, custom builders and home owners in the showroom.
  • Review architectural plans and ensure proper form, fit and function of the products selected.
  • Offer the customer choices of products to satisfy their vision and meet their budget expectations.
  • Enter sales orders into the companies software and build digital proposals to the customer’s expectation.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to inspect product prior to delivery to the job.
  • Manage procurement of the products we are supplying. Organization and communication skills are key.
  • Develop and manage trusted, long-term relationships with builders, designers, architects and home owners.

Qualities of the Candidate:

  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Desire for serving others with a positive attitude. Be intentional and proactive to ensure customers have a positive experience.
  • Highly self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability to multitask, juggling various projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to sell and communicate with affluent customers.
  • Knowledge of residential plumbing fixtures is a plus but not required.
  • Dressed appropriately with professional appearance.
  • Strive to increase knowledge of entire product offering
